5th Shoot

After going out to take some photos I realised I had forgot my tripod for the night scenes so naturally I did not have such high expectations for todays shoot. Fortunately the locations I was shooting at were well lit and did not require a particularly long exposure setting. The only issue I had was getting good colour while avoiding the orange tinge that always seems to come out when shooting from the street lights.

Not having a tripod was not as much of a problem as i had originally thought as i started to focus on lit areas using smaller clusters on my cameras AF so I could get away with a shorter exposure. this came in useful in dark areas with little light around and also seemed to reflect at times lighting up the surrounding areas.

Another real conundrum tonight was the amount of cars at night as the headlight seem to blur wherever they go. For this shoot it was quite different as they are quite far away they seem to add a sort of softness to the photo while they move. Todays shoot has been good and i am happy to say I am quite happy with the fact that I had forgotten the other half of my equipment.
